The Parapsychogical Association is coming to Athens, Greece for its 60th Annual Convention and kicking off the weekend with a free community event on the afternoon of Thursday, July 20th at the City of Athens Cultural Centre. Engaging the Oracle: An Introduction to Parapsychology is a series of free public lectures designed to orient attendees to the vocabulary and major methodological approaches of this vast and interdisciplinary field.
Whether you are a resident of Athens, or visiting for the convention, we hope you'll join us in welcoming our international line-up of speakers. Talks will be 45 minutes long in English with supporting materials in both English and Greek. A preliminary schedule is as follows:

In addition to the lectures, the Nikolaos Koumartzis will be hosting a unique photo exhibition, presenting rare photographs and previously unseen documents of the era that show how Greece played an important role in the international parapsychology community during the first half of the 20th century.
There is no fee or registration for this public event. However, an RSVP to the PA calender page and/or the Facebook Event Page will help us anticipate our numbers.
Afterward, we hope you'll consider registering to join the 60th Annual Convention of the Parapsychological Association - Athens’ first international parapsychology meeting in 87 years - at the Titania Hotel near Syntagma square. Scientists and scholars from around the world will gather for three days of paper presentations, workshops, and panel discussions on the latest research into psi and related phenomena, offering an opportunity for international and Greek audiences to hear the latest and most advanced scientific thinking about topics in parapsychology.
