2022 Outstanding Career Award: Stephen E. Braude

Congratulations to Stephen E. Braude, who has been selected to receive the receive the PA's Outstanding Career Award this year. The award recognizes sustained (20 years or more) research or service contributions that have advanced the discipline of parapsychology.
Stephen E. Braude received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1971. He is Past President of the Parapsychological Association, and Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at the University of Maryland Baltimore County,
For 13 years he was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Scientific Exploration (JSE), taking it to the top level for scholar journals focused on anomalistics. His own works on philosophy and parapsychology lay the foundations for original and creative pathways for old and new parapsychologists.
Dr. Braude is the author of 7 books related to psi research, including instant classics like The Gold Leaf Lady and The Limits of Influence, and more than 100 peer-reviewed articles.
He's also the recipient of numerous research grants, including grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities as well as the BIAL Foundation. He was also recently recipient of the FWH Myers Memorial Medal from the Society for Psychical Research.
