The Parapsychological Association is pleased to announce the newest member of its adminstrative team, Nikolaos Koumartzis.  Nikolaos has been recruited to the PA for its general art direction and as the layout editor of the Mindfield Bulletin.  He is a PhD researcher in Department of Journalism and Mass Media in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), where he is currently conducting research on the emerging phenomenon of Internet regulation and online censorship around the globe.  He also works as an Art Director at the start-up publishing house iScribo Publications, which he co-founded in 2010.

In addition to his excellent skills and education in design and publishing, Nikolaos also has a background of research and writing in the field of parapsychology.  He is the author of two books in Greek,  Psychical Research in Greece, and the White Book of Parapsychology, a book regarding the current research and facts about parapsychology worldwide.   Moreover, he has been responsible for the Mystery monthly magazine column on this subject from 2006 and onwards.

Along with Renaud Evrard, he co-founded the World of Parapsychology project. In 2010 he received the Coly Prize by Parapsychology Foundation for his essay Parapsychology 2.0 Unbelievable Opportunities, Innumerable Possibilities, and in 2011 he was awarded with the Scholarship for Excellence by Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) and the Eileen J. Garrett Scholarship Award by Parapsychology Foundation. 

PA members can look forward to seeing Nikolaos's fresh take on the layout of Mindfield: The Bulletin of the Parapsychological Association starting with Volume 4, Issue 1, due out later this month.
