About Me

Jon Taylor graduated from the University of Cambridge with an MA in Natural Sciences.

His early career was in marketing and research within the field of scientific instruments. He then switched to consumer marketing and moved to Spain in 1976 to work as International Marketing Director for the wine producer Williams and Humbert.

Later, he moved into petroleum exploration, and after working on contracts in Britain, Italy and Spain, he was transferred to the Middle East, where he held the position of Materials and Purchasing Manager for the National Drilling Company of Abu Dhabi.

Taylor has always had a keen interest in parapsychology, and in 1992 he returned to Spain in order to carry out a full-time investigation into the theoretical basis of psi. He suggests that the occurrence of precognition requires a block universe model, in which the future events already exist in the space-time continuum, and that a compatible version of quantum mechanics is required to explain it. One such interpretation is Bohm's theory of the implicate order, according to which similar structures created at different locations in space and time resonate with a tendency to become more closely similar to one another. Taylor applies the mechanism to the neuronal spatiotemporal patterns that are activated in the brain, and suggests that psi can be simplified to two phenomena: pre-cognition, which consists of a transfer of information from the brain in the future to the brain in the present; and telepathy, which consists of a transfer betwen different brains.

Taylor has several papers published and has given lectures in Britain, Spain, Italy and the United Arab Emirates. At present, he is completing a book titled:A Journey in Timein which he will present his theory in detail.

Are meals to be provided on the campus site? When are full details and booking arrangements to be announced? For people coming from other countries, arrangements have to be made well in advance. Thank you.
