I'm a fifteen year veteran of the fire service, and in my time there I've been able to participate in research, curricula development, teaching, and a variety of things other than emergency response. In the last few years I've felt that my career has gotten a little stale; friends have reminded me that I'm not too young to do something else, and throughout my education I was usually told that I would do well in any of the sciences. Remembering my earlier interest in studying the mind and psi phemonema, I've arrived here. As much as a citizen scientist can, I'm eager to contribute to the field, especially in how people percieve their environments and act on the information, and how people relate to each other using other than the established senses. In my free time, I enjoy reading histories and running marathons.

The Parapsychological Association is an international professional organization of scientists and scholars engaged in the study of psi (or 'psychic') experiences, such as telepathy, clairvoyance, psychokinesis, psychic healing, and precognition. The primary objective of the PA is to achieve a scientific understanding of these experiences.
First established in 1957, the PA has been an affiliated organization of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) since 1969. The PA is a non-profit, non-adjudicating organization that endorses no ideologies or beliefs other than the value of rigorous scientific and scholarly inquiry.
