New Thinking Allowed

When I record video conversations with members of the P.A. for the New Thinking Allowed channel on YouTube, I also post here. Many other interviews, relevant to parapsychology, with non-members can be viewed at www.newthinkingallowed.com

The Continuity of Consciousness, a Conversation with Stephan A. Schwartz

Stephan A. Schwartz is a Distinguished Consulting Faculty of Saybrook University. He is the columnist for the journal Explore, and editor of the daily web publication Schwartzreport.net in both of which he covers trends that are affecting the future. His other academic and research appointments include: Senior Fellow for Brain, Mind and Healing of the Samueli Institute; founder and Research Director of the Mobius laboratory. Government appointments include Special Assistant for Research and Analysis to the Chief of Naval Operations. Schwartz was the principal researcher studying the use of Remote Viewing in archaeology. Using Remote Viewing he discovered Cleopatra's Palace, Marc Antony's Timonium, ruins of the Lighthouse of Pharos, and sunken ships along the California coast, and in the Bahamas. He is the author of more than 130 technical reports and papers. He has written The Secret Vaults of Time, The Alexandria Project, Mind Rover, Opening to the Infinite, and The 8 Laws of Change.

Here he discusses research on reincarnation, focusing on the interesting correlation between the birthmarks of children and the death wounds of the past-life personalities that they recall. He also discusses near-death experiences, remote-viewing, and a variety of other disciplines that suggest that consciousness is fundamental and prior to space and time. He quotes Max Planck, a founder of quantum mechanics, who arrived at a similar conclusion -- and he speculates on the implications of this insight.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980).

Precognitive Financial Forecasting, a Conversation with Russell Targ

Russell Targ, a laser physicist, cofounded the remote viewing research program at SRI International. He is coauthor Mind Reach, The Mind Race, Miracles of Mind, The Heart of the Mind, and The End of Suffering. He is author of Limitless Mind and The Reality of ESP: A Physicist's Proof of Psychic Abilities. He is also coeditor of the anthology, Mind At Large.

Here he discusses a successful experiment in silver futures forecasting that was covered in a Wall Street Journal front page story. Targ also shows how he developed a complex-space model that is consistent with modern physics and could account for influences from the future. He also describes an interested series of studies by the psychologist, Daryl Bem, focusing on precognitive influences in daily life.

Parapsychology, Where Are You? -- a Conversation with Stephan A. Schwartz

Here Schwartz and Mishlove examine why parapsychology has yet to achieve its potential as a discipline that could revolutionize both science and society. Schwartz points out that, in previous centuries, scholars who investigated nonlocal consciousness were at risk of being burned at the stake. He also maintains that the data from many other disciplines is forcing scientists of a materialist bent to rethink their metaphysical assumptions.

Precognition, a Video Conversation With Russell Targ

Russell Targ, a laser physicist, cofounded the remote viewing research program at SRI International. He is coauthor Mind Reach, The Mind Race, Miracles of Mind, The Heart of the Mind, and The End of Suffering. He is author of Limitless Mind and The Reality of ESP: A Physicist's Proof of Psychic Abilities. He is also coeditor of the anthology, Mind At Large.

Here he describes two precognitive dreams and provides guidelines for distinguishing precognitive dreams from those that are based on either fear or wish-fulfillment. He also describes experiments he conducted at SRI International for the purpose of establishing the reality of precognition. He notes that precognition is not necessarily incompatible with free will.

Here he describes details of his psychic archeology project in Alexandria, Egypt. This is probably the most extensive application of nonlocal consciousness in archeology ever undertaken. The protocols were quite elaborate and entailed the participation of many experts from different disciplines. Great care was taken to ensure that the final results, if successful, would be unimpeachable.
