Jeffrey Mishlove discusses a difference of opinion between J. B. Rhine and C. G. Jung regarding whether paranormal phenomena obey causal principles. Jung described synchronicity as an "acausal connecting principle". Rhine did not agree. Jeffrey then discusses the role of conscious intentionality within parapsychology, suggesting that – because we do have a measure of control over synchronicities – they are not entirely acausal. He then illustrates this point with a story concerning a synchronicity that resulted in a major, life turning point. https://youtu.be/EcSsMMgJXlY
